Benefits of the Estimate/Quote/Proposal Record

Hi all!

I'm debating on whether or not I should integrate Estimates into our sales cycle; right now transactions run Opp>SO>Invoice, but we *do* prepare proposals that are almost completely off-Netsuite.  I'm wondering for those of you who do use estimates, what would the benefits be (other than capturing the fact that yes, the client has seen that $ amount?)
