Sales Orders to Invoice

The reminder for Sales Orders to Invoice is wrong.  Apparently it has been wrong for some time and my team only just told me about it today.  For example it currently says there are only 65 orders to invoice, but there are actually 108.  Has anyone else noticed this, and do we know what is causing the problem?
