Can we limit what messages show under Customer Activities tab?

Activities > Messages


Upper management does not want sales personnel being able to have access to the messages and correspondences that the Accounting department have with customers through Netsuite. However, they would like for the sales team to be able to view correspondences by other sales team and customer service members. Is there a way that we can limit the visibility of messages based on user roles?
