GDPR - Hard Opt in.

I am being told that in May 2018 in order to send any marketing emails all EU customers must be hard opted in and that we must delete all our existing marketing lists.

Is there an easy way to change the registration system to require customer to explicitly chose to allow marketing emails or not. Default ticked will not be acceptable.

The EU rules also require us to produce evidence that the customer explicitly requested marketing emails. Failure to do so can lead to a fine of 4% of annual turnover.
