Totals in NetSuite turn to "0.00" when exported to Excel

I have  made a report that has the totals added up fine in NetSuite, but they all turn to 0.00 when exported to Excel.  When they are exported to CSV, totals are intact, but there are a lot of strange symbols that we must delete, so we cannot use .csv files.

Anyone have a fix?
