Report showing components needed for assembly items on sales orders

Hi everyone,

I've trawled through the threads on this board and can't find anything relating to my query, so I hope someone can help!

We have some assembly items of which one member is also an assembly item. Let's say item A which contains item B. In general customers order item A, so this shows up on a report for items pending fulfillment. However, what I'd like is a report which shows how many item Bs are needed to fulfill orders for  item A.

I don't think I can customise the 'items pending fulfillment' report because as I understand it this depends on the item being present on a sales order.
