Customers by Rep - "No Inheritance"

I want to create a report/search of “How many “Original” Customers each rep has”  - problem is, if a previous customer was reassigned to a new rep it now appears under him, but he didn’t create this customer… see what I’m saying?  

“If Ron came onboard this month, and brought in 5 new accounts, that’s his.  If he inherited 25 accounts from someone else that’s not his” – I only want to see his accounts.  (Style:  Summary - Sales Rep, # of Accts)
