Hiding columns with all zeros in Income Statement

I'd like to create a custom income statement that would show all departments, except those that have zeros in all of the rows.  I've looked at report builder and the option "show zeros" is not checked but columns and rows with all zeros are still showing.  Does anyone know how to do this in financial reports?
