Online form - want to display current values plus allow edits

I am going to send an email to customers and want them to be able to edit the data i sent to them in an email.  But I think it will be very difficult for them to edit fields that they cannot see the values of.  Is there any way to have the original values appear next to the form? Im open to custom records or customer online forms- whatever, but i really need for them to be able to see the current values as they provide updates.
