New Contact Data Overwrites Company Data
We have several contacts from the same company entering online forms.
We want the new contact information saved and the contact attached to the company record, leaving the main company data as is.
Instead, each time a contact submits a form, the main company record is updated with the contact's phone number, comments, and email address.
Am I missing a setting somewhere? I am guessing that since we have the pref enabled to create customers as companies, that's why the contact record gets created when the first name and last name are filled out. Buf if you're going to allow that preference, why have the major contact information fields update BOTH the company and the contact? Seems like there need to be separate fields and tags for contact email, phone, etc. and company email, phone etc.
