Anchor tag

We have a couple of anchor tags in an email template. (They jump to a portion of the newsletter). The tags look normal in the HTML code, like this: #gohere

When sent via email, they end up going to NetSuite's login page. Hovering over the link looks like this:

https://system.netsuite.com/#gohere

Is this a bug with Email templates? Note that campaigns work fine.
