image in email based on criteria

Howdy

Instead of having to split my database into categories for a campaign, I wonder if anyone knows if this scenario is possible. And if so, how?

For example, a logo at the top of an email campaign based on a custom field against the customer record.

<img src="/site/logo1.jpg" - if custentitycategory=wine then img src="/site/logowine.jpg" - if custentitycategory=beer then img src="/site/logobeer.jpg"> etc etc.

I'm sure there would be some javascript way to do it but any help would be appreciated.
