Newsletter reply settings

So I'm having some issues with the newsletter I'm putting together. So the newsletter was fully created through HTML and inline CSS. But for some odd reason when you attempt to reply to the newsletter the settings (Font, font color, background color) are carried over within the reply.

Can we avoid this from happening? Everything I read points to it not being possible within outlook, but I have seen a few other places doing newsletters that avoid this issue. So it must be possible, Right?
