Problems Changing Preferred Vendor

Has anyone else had a problem changing the preferred vendor with a CSV import of an item list?

I click the "Update and add to existing data and DO NOT overwrite missing fields" box before performing the import and I don't receive an error message when performing the import, but the preferred vendor field in the items don't change.
