Unhelpful CSV import Error Message
When importing leads via the CSV import in an instance where Auto numbering for Customers is not enabled, the CSV source file must contain a value for 'Customer' in the first column in the source file. If this column is empty, the following error message is reported...
'The CSV file contained illegal characters.
Please correct your file and retry import.'
This is a misleading error message that does not identify the real reason for the failure of the upload i.e. the fact that auto numbering is off and the required field is blank. The message should be similar to
