Customer/Contact Import Confusion
Hello,
I'm missing something and have invested countless hours repeating myself in slightly different ways trying to import a purchased company/contact list.
1. I imported the companies (Customer Auto Number was on). Each company connected one contact during this import.
2. I tried importing the contacts separately using the company name to match the records. The company names should match as it was the same file used for both imports. This did not work.
3. I tried turning off the Auto Number thinking it was changing the company names. This did not work either.
Was the mistake made importing the Company/Customer names with Auto Number?
