Center Type - Locked after finished?

Hi,

I had a question about the 'center types' when using or creating a new user role and assigning it to a new user.  First, does the center type drive the initial display (the main tabs at the top)?  I assumed it did, and was wondering if it were possible to change the center type after a new custom role has been created.  We have a small business, and our Sales Manager/Support Manager is one and the same.  We set up permissions, and then were going to let the employee pick the view that worked best for them.  After assigning the
