Centre Type is Locked! Why?

Hey:

A similar post was created in 2006. Does anyone know how in God's name to change a Center Type on a role without creating a new Role?

Or, how to start a new role based on the permissions of another?

Not being able to alter the Center type is absolutely frustrating. Same with creating a new role with everything blank. Absolutely crazy.

Is there a way around this?
