Accessing Calculated Values in Client-Side Scripts

I noticed that calculated values such as "totalvalue" are listed as available fields for inventory items.  However, when I try to get the value of these fields (Client side), I always get "undefined".

I can get at most other fields.

Suggestions anyone?
