Search Filters

I have done a fair amount of filtered searches within SuiteScript, but I have run into a snag that is probably a bug.  On a time of day field I am trying to filter records using isnotempty.  So far I have found no luck, it always pulls all records.

Has anyone run across this before or know a work around?  The only way I have been able to get this to work is to change the filter to greaterthanorequalto '12:000 am'.

Any thoughts?
