Show "List Price" in custom transaction column

We would like to display the List Price (or RRP/SRP) for each item on an estimate, so that the recipient knows the value of the discount they are getting and how much they should be charging their customer.


I have created a custom transaction column named custcol_nc_list_price, and I have written a script:

function insertListPrice()  {   nlapiSetFieldValue('custcol_nc_list_price', nlapiGetFieldValue('amount'));  }

The idea being that when an item is selected off the dropdown list the original price is stored in custcol_nc_list price even if discounts are late applied or the unit price is manually changed.
