Strange Script Behavior?

I have a script that changes the order status applying some conditions, from 'Pending Fullfilment' (default) to 'Pending Aproval'.

If the order is entered from netsuite the script changes the order status correctly.
If the order comes from the website the script don't change the order status although the script applies it's conditions correctly (the script have full access permissions)

We are testing this script on a test account, is this strange behavior occuring because that? Could this happen in a live account?
