Proper syntax for 'anyof' and multiple values in nlobjSearchFilter

What is the proper syntax for nlobjSearchFilter when using a list of values and the 'anyof' operator?

Do you pass an array in the value parameter? a comma-delimited text string?, a string enclosed in square brackets ([...,...,...])?
