SuiteScript UI objects

I've been experimenting with the new SuiteScript UI objects, and have been able to create new fields/etc. to existing custom forms through a before load script.  I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to add select options to a multiselect field with a client script. 

The use case is to have the selection of a dropdown list "source" the multiselect field.  I haven't found any other way to do it.  I had a hack that used to work in the previous release, but it no longer works in 2007.0. 

Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions!
