Example of setting Multi Select Values in script

Hi,

I'm struggling with inserting a new value into a custom multi select field.  Can anyone provide a nice example on how to accomplish this?

My current process is below, but doesn't seem to work.

(note:  newSOEndCustomer and SOEntity are already set in this example)


var SWID = new Array();
SWID = currentRecord.getFieldValues('custentity_direct_customers');
if (SWID != null)
{
    var SWIDLength = SWID.length;
    SWID[SWIDLength] = newSOEndCustomer;
    nlapiSubmitField('customer', SOEntity, 'custentity_direct_customers', SWID, false);
}
else
{
    nlapiSubmitField('customer', SOEntity, 'custentity_direct_customers', newSOEndCustomer, false);
}


Any help or examples would be really appreciated.
