How to add two Custom Currency Fields in a script

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:27PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 3 comments

When I try to make a client script to add the dollar values in two custom item fields. I get a result that seems joins them like a text string. I get Invalid currency Value.

I am a Javascript pleeb (thank you Mr. Obvious) but there must be someone who can let me in on the secret.

The main question is, how do you keep the variablle from being treated like a string when doing addition and subtraction. No problem with * or /.

We want to have the option of having a Wholesale Price be either a calculated value of Subtotal + Sales Costs or to enter a manual value. I have made a Recalc button that launches the script in the Item Entry form.

Howdy, Stranger!
