Refresh an nlobjSubList in a Suitelet

Is it possible to refresh contents of an nlobjSubList?

I would really like to implement behavior similar to the "refresh" button found under the execution log tab of the script deployment page (/app/common/scripting/scriptrecord.nl) which looks like it uses an internal refreshmachine() function. 

Getting the new data isn't a problem, I'm interested in manipulating the nlobjSublist after the suitelet has been loaded...
