Creating a campaign template file

Was hoping there was a way to use nlapiCreateRecord to create a new marketing campaign template through script. It does not look like marketing campaign records have a recordtype so I'm thinking not but hoping someone corrects me.

Basically we want a way through script of updating an existing template record's template text area, or creating an entirely new template with all fields set by our preference.
