What version of Javascript should I be referencing?

Hi All,
Has anyone received "Cannot find function getFullYear" or "Cannot find function substring" or anything similar to that when calling standard JavaScript funcitons.
Support told me that all functions except those refering to the DOM are supported. Does anyone know what you can and can't do in SuiteScript that you can do in normal JavaScript?

Any insight would be appreciated,
