2008.1 nlobjRecord.get/setFieldText() ?

Am I remembering correctly that 2008.1 will allow text value get and set when using nlobjRecord? Or am I making that us? I can't seem to find it in the sneak peek doc, so I'm thinking its wishful thinking on my part?
