Anyone found a way to simulate update transactions?

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:25PM in SuiteCloud / Customization

I am submitting 10+ records in a script, most the time I can catch the various problems and halt the updates if there is a problem, but some get through.

what I'd like to have is something like:

 var transactionScope = null;  try  {      transactionScope = nlapiBeginTransaction();      //  submit a ton of records        //  Commit the transaction      nlapiFinishTransaction(transactionScope);  }  catch(e)  {      nlapiCancelTransaction(transactionScope);        //  log the exception or something...  }

That would be PERFECT, but... that doesn't exist so...

The other option I've thought about is storing a copy of the loaded records and restoring their values in the event there is a failure in the batch, but I can't set the readonly fields and some of my logic relies on modified dates, etc.
