getLineItemCount of an Inventory Adjustment

Hello

I would like to get the total line count of an inventory adjustment transaction and get all the line item information such as Item code, location, batch number, expiry date, bin number, cost and memo.

What API function should be used to get the line count? I used getLineItemCount('item') and it returns a '-1" (negative one).

can anyone to tell me how to do it?
