Schedule Scripts Client-side

Does anyone know of a way to schedule a server-side script using a client-side function?  I have a function that used too many usage points to run client-side so I moved it to server-side. What I would like is a button that the user can press that would schedule the server-side script for execution.  I know that NetSuite has a function nlapiScheduleScript but that appears to be server-side only.
