Modify Discount Rate on Sales order in Script?

Hey everyone,

Is there way to alter the discount rate on a Sales Order? I'm using a suitelet to create Sales Orders from web sales (from another ecommerce platform), and I can set the discountitem but there is no field for rate, which means we're stuck with the preset rate. Am I missing anything?
