BeforeLoad Set Field on Address book sublist - Country

I'm trying to Sort out a nagging issue with the default country on entity forms, pardon my messy code, but i'm new at this.... the 3st three are working fine, but i can't get the address book to load United States as the default Country...

function new_customer()  {  nlapiSetFieldValue('currency', '3');  nlapiSetFieldValue('pricelevel', '5');  nlapiSetFieldValue('shipcomplete','T',true);  record.setLineItemValue('addressbook', 'country', line_number, 'US');  }  


Any thoughts on what i'm doing wrong?
