setting field value in custom record
Hi
I am trying to write a script that sets a field value in a custom record. The field is a list/record but has a validation of
Opportunity Status equal Current Record
Current User
In Negotiation
Which causes the drop down box to display the tranid and the username under the selection area.
If I set the field to the record number it gives me an Invalid key reference however if I go into debug and display the value of the field nlapiGetFieldValue('custrecord_policy_num') it shows a record number.
If the field does not have the validations, the code works correctly. How can I bypass the validation when setting this field?
