How to trigger suitelet from UI

Hi All,

I am very new to Suitelet.  So I need some basic help to continue working with Suitelet.

I have a User Interface which has a button.  On clicking that button i need to populate a Suitelet.  My question is,
How to deploy a Suitelet?
How do  I connect the UI with the suitelet?  Whether i need a User Event Script? If so, then how do I connect User Event script with Suitelet?
Where to go and see the status of the Suitelet?
How can i see the output of the Suitelet.
