Tabs and Javascript

Hello,

I am new to Netsuite and SuiteScript.

My task is to create a tab that lists all the files attached to the customer record for the currently logged in user. I have created a javascript file with the needed function and I have created a deployment record for that javascript.

Now what? How do I get the .js to execute whenever the tab with the files is loaded? How do I attach a script to a tab?  The tab is in a customer portal.
