IE specific problem with undefined globals

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:13PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 2 comments

We have one single off-site employee that uses IE and he's making my life hell!

The problem appears to be that global objects defined in a library file are not created before the client codes runs.

Code will make things more clear:

 //  Library file  var CASE_FLD =   {           IS_CAR_REQ : 'foo',  }      //  Case client file  function OnInit(type)  {      carRequired = nlapiGetFieldValue(CASE_FLD.IS_CAR_REQ) == 'T';      DisableCARRelatedFields();  }

That code woks perfectly fine in FF2 and FF3 but in IE6 and IE7 I'm getting the following error:

Error: 'CASE_FLD' is undefined

So it appears that OnInit is being called before the CASE_FLD is being created.  I have confirmed that the library file is indeed being served up, so the script is there... it just isn't being executed.
