Passing any URL parameters into javascript

For those coding geeks out there, hope someone can give me a hand on the following issue:

---------------------------------------------------
var transactionID = nlapiGetFieldValue('tranid');
window.open("/app/site/hosting/scriptlet.nl?script=102&deploy=1&tID=transactionID");
---------------------------------------------------


then, in a javascript file, I want to intake any paramaters in the URL, how can I do that? I have tried some codes on the internet, but it does not work.
