what is fscriptIds?

On my customer form we have a checkbox.
I have a function called xAfterUpdate that fires when the checkbox is changed.  If we click the checkbox before the page loads in completely we get a javacript error:

Error: 'fscriptIds' is undefined
Code: 0

What is fscriptIds.
How can I trap my update function not to fire until the page is completely loaded?
