Create Inv. Adj. - what's the trick with the lines??

edited Dec 2, 2019 6:10PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 5 comments

I've read the help and read the posts in the UG related to this record and the "You must enter at least one line item for this transaction" error message.

I've tried adding just the bare minimum to the inventory sublist and also tried adding valid values for every single field.  No matter what I try I get the same "You must enter at least one line item for this transaction" error.

So what's the trick?  Is anyone creating Inventory Adjustments server side?

Here is my code, modified for posting on the UG:

 TransferInventory: function      XOMgr_transferInventory(itemId, fromId, toId, qty, serialNumbers)  {      //  We can't create Inventory Transfer records with SuiteScript so we      //  need to create two adjustments instead.  We will adjust the source      //  location down and the target location up.            var outAdj = nlapiCreateRecord('inventoryadjustment');            outAdj.setFieldValue('adjlocation', 2);      outAdj.setFieldValue('account', 91);      outAdj.setFieldValue('department', 2);      outAdj.setFieldValue('memo', 'This is the out or down adjustment');            //  Add the lines      outAdj.setLineItemValue('inventory', 'item', 1, 520);      outAdj.setLineItemValue('inventory', 'location', 1, 2);      outAdj.setLineItemValue('inventory', 'adjustqtyby', 1, 1);            serialNumbers = ['D090617-041'];      if(serialNumbers)      {          var joined = serialNumbers.join(',');          outAdj.setLineItemValue('inventory',              'serialnumbers', 1, joined);      }            nlapiSubmitRecord(outAdj);  },
