Can a sublist be updated on a suitelet form?

Can anybody help me woth this?  I have created a form through a suitelet that mimics the approve time form.  In short, I've created a select field containing a subset of employees as well as a SubList used to hold information associated with each employee in the select field. This defaults to all of a users supervised employees when the suitelet is first called.
