Unexpected error related to nlapiCreateRecord (attempt at importing cases)

I'm trying to do a bulk creation (or import, if you will) of historical cases using scripting (since it's not offered via CSV import).  So I created a custom record (customrecord117) that has fields that act as place holders for my data I want to import into a case.  I used the CSV import to bring all my case data into the custom record, then I wrote (or am trying to write) code to retrieve that data, create a case, and populate the case with the data from the custom record.  I hope that makes sense.  Anyway, I'm getting an
