Transaction body field - Source

I am having difficulty in getting the value from the Source field in a sales order.

When I try to get the value in Client Script, it returns the correct value, but in server script this field always returns null.
nlapiGetFieldValue("source");
record.getFieldValue("source");

Anybody having this issue?
