How to add a default text value to column field whenever sale order is opened

Hi All,
In my saleorder in line item leevl,i have a column field of type free form text.
Now whenever i open my sales order i must automatically get that column field populated by a text(Example:"soex")



so, please give ur valuable solution to this.
I think its small issue, but i am new to suitescript.
