Customer / Projects in Time Entry

I have a custom time entry form, with a custom drop down list which contains just top level customers. 
I created a second field which is filtered to just show projects.  However, it is showing all projects (as expected).  How do I set this field to only show projects whose parent is the customer selected in the first field?
