Custom View Mode Buttons (Again)

Guys,

I have read through a lot of the postings on the above and hit some issues.

My situation is this.  I have created buttons in edit mode which read fields from an invoice and then create a custom record using some of that data (some of these scripts are over 200 lines long).  I have also created created buttons in view mode than can do completely useless tasks like load a message alert window.

What I need to be able to do is with as little modification to my existing script be able to run them from the invoice view mode.
