Suitelet Custom Sublist - Add Line Items Client-Side

I have a Suitelet form and I have added a sublist to it.  The sublist is a "list" type.  I can add data to the sublist on server-side but I would really like to dynamically add/remove lines on client-side as the user selects filters at the top of the page.  Is this possible?  Can I link my sublist to a saved search and refresh the search somehow?
