nlapiCreateFile not working with before submit and type='ship'

Hello,

Anyone know why nlapiCreateFile generates a unexpected exception in a before submit, type = 'ship'.

The exception is not generated during runtime of the script, but AFTER the script is completed.

FYI, I am fetching freight docs from an external party during fulfillment and when the state changes to 'shipped'.

The oddity is that everything WORKS when I use edit and save (not using the 'Mark Shipped' button).

Any ideas?
